The finger series

Most of all, shooting these images has been fun.

Over the past couple of years, "The finger shot" pretty much evolved into a tongue in cheek ritual.

And yet, the series triggered interesting thought processes.

Each image corresponds to a different person's fingers each with his or her own individual qualities and story.

At differents points of their life cycle, of different origins, of different value sets...
each person, and each set of fingers, is unique.

Whether focussing on the differences or the common denominators between frames,
the series, now featuring over 500 different images, will hopefully entertain both visually and intellectually.

The images in the master layout link to larger versions that can be viewed in sequence.

A new flash slideshow gallery has been uploaded to celebrate the series' half way point. It can be viewed here. Please click on the "play" button bottom right (third from the right) for the slideshow to begin. It should last 40/45 minutes. A fast connection is recommended. (This is a beta version of the gallery and there are minor display issues using Mozilla. There are no problems with Explorer)
